About Erika!
Hello! My name is Erika, owner of Erika's Odd Coffee Company! In 2024 I spend the entire year restoring and renovating my 1978 burro with my farther with a dream of owning my own coffee trailer! After getting my bachelors degree in 2017 I began working in the repair field an continued till the opening of my trailer. So when I say that I welded, drilled, fiberglassed, and completely designed/ built this trailer with my bare hands I mean it! This trailer was a well worth labor of love and I could not be more happy with how it turned out! Below are a few Frequently Asked Questions I get as some of my events, but people feel free to contact me with any other questions you may have!
"What kind of trailer is this?"
A 1978 Burro Trailer. While they are similar to a scamp, the Burro was its own independent style, though no longer in production, you may still spot some around the country!
"Why is everything gluten free"
I have celiac disease! Though I was born with celiac disease, I wasn't aware of it through out my life until my early 20's! Celiac is genetic and is not curable, but is treated through a gluten & wheat free diet. I wanted to create a space where celiacs like myself know that they can walk up to a menu and order anything they want! I also don't put any item on the menu that I have not tried myself, there for everything is gluten free! But if you have any other allergies, please inform us before ordering!
"Why is it Odd"
That's simple, I'm neurodivergent! What makes me neurodivergent? I have A.D.D., Dyslexia, and Dysgraphia! When I was diagnosed as a child the doctor explained that I may do things in a way that may seem "odd" to neurotypical people, but just because it seems odd doesn't make it incorrect, just different! I kept this positive mind set my entire life and it has led me to being the first generation female college graduate in my family & being a collegiate award winning artist! I am very proud of who I am, and am open about the fact that I am neurodivergent in hopes to end any stigmas around it, there is absolutely nothing wrong with being neurodivergent, and it time the world recognize that. Stay odd!
Celiac, neurodivergent, & woman owned!
